5D was engaged by Nissan’s Northern Regional Manger to design and deliver strategic development sessions for the 46 dealerships in Queensland. Strategic planning was under-utilised by the Dealer Principals and represented both a challenge and an opportunity.
5d worked with our client to optimise value for each of the businesses that attended. 5d’s design positioned the client’s team as co-facilitators allowing us to develop multiple strategic plans simultaneously, catering for variance in size, geography, sophistication and markets. 5d firstly designed and conducted strategy sessions for the client’s team themselves building shared intent and purpose. With this intent 9 days of sessions were completed. On the strength of the success in Queensland, the Nissan Australia engaged 5d to run a similar process for the three other Australian regions.
Overall 214 strategic plans were created including four Regional Offices and 210 dealerships across Australia, providing stronger alignment between corporate objectives and the distribution network and greater understanding of situational operating contexts was gained by both Corporate and Dealership representatives.
